This “La Traviata” recording was released on DVD on July 14, 2017. Verdi’s world-famous opera “La Traviata” is full of love, suffering, separation and reunion, a tragic death. Wonderful sounds, well-known melodies, great arias.

Marina Rebeka and the tenor Francesco Demuro sang the lovers Violetta and Alfredo on the stage in front of the summery town hall backdrop in the Maschpark Hannover. Star baritone Thomas Hampson den Germont, Alfredo’s father. 2,000 people sat spellbound in the stands in front of the stage – and 20,000 more let themselves be carried away by the open-air opera at the public viewing in the Maschpark. Now this atmosphere and the brilliant world-class performance can be experienced again at home.
