Following her critically acclaimed performances earlier this season as Donna Anna in Don Giovanni and Violetta in La Traviata, Marina Rebeka returns to the Vienna State Opera as Juliette in Gounod’s Roméo et Juliette, February 23 & 26 and March 1. The final performance will also receive a worldwide livestream via Staatsoper Live. Ms. Rebeka previously performed the role of Juliette to rave reviews in her 2013 debut at the Arena di Verona, which was heralded as the “triumph of the evening.” (L’Opera) She is joined by acclaimed tenor Juan Diego Flórez as Roméo in Vienna’s Jürgen Flimm-directed production, with conductor Marco Armiliato leading from the pit.
